Job Description

Purpose/Summary: Responsible for the implementation and delivery of strategic compensation initiatives, salary survey responses, compensation administration, salary analysis and development, managerial training, change management and coaching tied to compensation. SAP super user level systems understanding, administration, report writing and analysis. Ability to perform regression and other analyses as required, using SPSS. Ability to work with and create analytics and interpret the data to make compensation recommendations to the HR Director.
This position will serve as an internal resource to the MLL HR Dept. for all compensation matters. Provide Human Resources consultation, coaching and guidance as relates to compensation matters and counsel managers on same. Develop, design and deliver programs and training sessions as defined by the compensation strategy for the entire MLL organization. Understand and model MLL HR policies, practices and company Values. This position will also manage MLL's relocation programs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Understand business of MLL, the Human Resources' department organization practices and processes to support business strategies. Create and maintain quality working relationships with colleagues at all levels. Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
· Administer compensation programs that are market-competitive which attract, engage, motivate and retain colleagues.
· Conduct internal and external compensation analyses, participate in market surveys, and use third party data to support the design, implementation, administration and competitiveness of company compensation programs.
· Establish processes to ensure HR/Compensation project deliverables are completed in accordance with the established timelines; this includes analysis, required approvals, implementation plans and communication plans.
· Conduct ad hoc analyses and prepare ad hoc reports based on business needs and management requests.
· Ensure compliance with all Federal, OFCCP, State and local legal requirements, and MLL Values, Policies, Procedures and Practices.
· Manage special projects and ongoing initiatives as assigned.
· Maintain knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations and compliance requirements, including FLSA and wage and hour laws. Remain current on laws and regulations affecting compensation programs.
· Consult with HR Business Partner and HR Director to develop accurate job documentation to serve as the basis for market-pricing, establish career progression models, and recommend new hire rates and promotional increases.
· Develop salary offers in accordance with company protocols and for approval by the HR Director
· Evaluate position descriptions using Mercer IPE process
· Create and update position descriptions as needed, ensure they are competency and behavioral based
· Manage the annual merit process, and bonus programs
· Manage ex-pat compensation
· Manage relocation programs
Position Specifications:
· Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree, from an accredited institution, in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational or I/O Psychology required. Master's degree in I/O Psych preferred.
  • Minimum 5 Years experience in Compensation
  • Major corporation experience required, experience in the Defense Contracting industry preferred
  • Certified World at Work CCP
  • Mercer IPE evaluation experience required
  • PHR preferred
  • Expat and relocation expertise preferred
  • Experience with ADP preferred
  • SAP Super User
  • Experience creating behavioral and competency based job descriptions
  • Experience managing compensation surveys and analysis
