Job Description

Purpose/Summary: This position will provide overall site support in Talent Management and HRBP support to assigned Client group.


·         Talent Management: Provide site-wide support for the creation and implementation of MLL competencies, updating position descriptions with same, framing development opportunities that align with the competencies, prepare documents and metrics for succession planning meetings, develop and execute site-wide education sessions and corresponding materials which highlight the value proposition for company and colleagues. Responsible for on-going project enhancements, post-implementation. Ensure job descriptions and interview protocols include behaviors and competencies. Additional initiatives will include oversight and analysis of the employee engagement survey; performance management compliance; learning management system/s and training initiatives; business process improvement; workforce development, career development, support for the succession planning process, and any supporting change management requirements (communications and training) related to these initiatives. Will develop and utilize analytics and metrics and make associated recommendations to HR Director based on same.



·         HRBP Support: Provide effective HRBP recruiting, employee relations, development, consultation, coaching and guidance to assigned client organization/s, offering a single point of contact for all HR matters and services for respective client group/s.  Implement strategic HR initiatives which align with, and integrate, the client group/s business strategy and enhances the client organization's performance, as well as the colleagues' workplace experiences. Develop solutions to complex issues related to talent management and organization effectiveness. Understand and model MLL HR policies, practices, and company Values.



">Key Responsibilities:


·         Support high performing, self directed team initiatives within the HR department.

·         Understand business dynamics of MLL and client organization, drive HR practices and processes to align business strategies and issues with strategic HR initiatives, provide experience-based and appropriate counsel, utilize state of the art methods to support change and organization development. Create and maintain quality working relationships with colleagues at all levels. Build and maintain long-term trusted client relationships.

·         Utilize effective written, verbal and effectively designed communication methods, and plans

·         Apply state of the art change management processes and tools to drive effective, sustained change.

·         Provide experience-based counsel on employee relations and organization development and design to support department-specific and company-wide needs.

·         Develop and deliver training and/or facilitate team development interventions.

·         Provide input on development, execution and improvement for HR program design, while ensuring alignment with HR departmental initiatives, company culture and business direction, through the application of “best practices” and seamless HR service delivery.

·         Actively support retention via the development of solutions for complex organizational issues and support of client groups, colleagues’ development, sponsorship, and execution of designated HR initiatives. 

·         Responsible for the performance management and learning management processes. Support/educate client groups to achieve goals accurately and on time.

·         Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, and ensure appropriate collaboration and communication with stakeholders during all phases of the talent management, HRBP and other projects.

·         Develop, execute and coordinate internal training as needed to support initiatives and change management requirements.

·         Analyze data and information in support of recommended program and process improvement initiatives and provide concise reports/summaries/ and recommendations.

·         Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and legal requirements that impact HR processes and functions in order to ensure professional effectiveness as an HRBP.

·         Perform other position related duties as specified by management.



Position Specifications:


·         Education and Experience  


  • Bachelor’s Degree, from an accredited institution, in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational or I/O Psychology required. Master’s degree in I/O Psych preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Talent Management
  • Experience with Federal Contracting
  • SAP Super User preferred
  • Excel expertise
  • SPSS experience preferred
  • Experience in a corporate HR environment
  • Some experience with Corporate Communications preferred

·         Technical Skills and Competencies Required 

·         PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint & Outlook proficiency, Advanced Excel, MS Project expertise,

·         WebEx/remote presentations

·         Platform Skills

·         Social Media Recruiting expertise

·         Ability to work in a results oriented, fast paced, corporate level environment with a focus on achieving deliverables on time and within budget

·         Compensation administration

·         Ability to develop and evaluate effective training programs

·         Knowledge of Human Resources policies and best practices

·         Knowledge of HR related VA state and federal laws and regulations

·         Ability to be resourceful, creative, innovative and maintain flexibility

·         Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

·         Project management skills

Travel Requirements

Will need to travel overnight monthly to Northern VA, to visit client group, and to various locations within the US for recruiting events and meetings; may occasionally travel internationally.
