Purpose/Summary:
To provide administrative support and coordination of to Maersk Line, Limited personnel as directed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work with others required.
- Typing skills of 60 wpm or higher are required for the Administrative Assistant.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Establish work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness of work assignments.
- Ensure compliance with established corporate standards.
- Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet and database and/or presentation software.
- Use independent judgment and experience to plan and accomplish activities.
- The ability to work coordinate and track multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Coordinate and provide service for assigned departmental meetings.
- Sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and mail
- Make travel arrangements
- Maintain department files
- Answer phones and take messages as directed
- Provide relief for the company receptionist
- Other duties as assigned
- Supports company commitment to ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 certification
- Performs other position related duties as specified by management
· Education and Experience
· High School diploma and a minimum of three years administrative assistant/secretarial experience required.
· Technical Skills and Competencies Required
· Candidate must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a security clearance from the Defense Security Service (DSS). MLL is a drug-free work environment and requires employees to take random drug tests during their employment with the company.
